Sage Online Journals Direct Export to RefWorks Malfunctioning from Off-Campus

When using Sage eJournals from off campus to locate and export articles to RefWorks, please note that the direct export to RefWorks is not functioning properly.  When on campus, direct export works properly.  We suggest you choose to download and save the citations in the RefWorks format.  This file can be saved and imported into RefWorks using the “Import” option on the “References” menu when logged into RefWorks.

New database: Mint Global

Dun & Bradstreet’s company data is now available in Mint Global! This recently added database provides detailed financial statements for 150,000 private companies, 55,000 public companies, and 45 million companies worldwide. Users can build reports containing detailed standardized financial information or summary information, ownership details, graphics plus data from the other modules. Over 2,600 industry and 2,700 company profiles from Datamonitor. SEC filings, comprehensive shareholder and subsidiary info, stock data, dividend info, executive bios, SIC Code classification, 5-year forecast of earnings estimates. Private company data as disclosed to Dun & Bradstreet.

Google Settles Lawsuit Over Google Books

Google settled with publishers over two copyright lawsuits related to its book scanning project. Google will pay 125 million to settle the lawsuits. The settlement also set up an agreement that will share payments for content and advertising among all interested parties. Google Books will also sell subscriptions that allow library patrons to have access to the full text of scanned books. For more information check out the New York Times or Christian Science Monitor.

Searching American Chemical Society Journals from Find Journals

The American Chemical Society Publications database is producing an error in Find Articles under Chemistry.
