With the transition to TITANium in June 2012, the Library will continue to offer course reserves (including books in print, DVDs, and other physical items). Instructors may submit reserve requests via our new online Course Reserves Request form. Requests may include items from the Library’s collections, personal copies to be provided, or recommendations for purchase (within acquisition guidelines and budgetary limits).

Library staff has also developed an independent HTML block for TITANium, which enables students to conveniently search for course reserves and also links instructors to the online request form. Instructors can add this resource to their courses by following the steps below.

  1. Log into your TITANium course.
  2. Click Turn editing on.
  3. Under Add a block, select HTML from the drop-down menu.
  4. Locate the (new HTML block) and click Configuration (the pencil icon).
  5. Enter a Block title.
  6. Click HTML under Content.
  7. Copy and paste the code below into the HTML Source Editor and click Update.
  8. Make any other desired configuration settings.
  9. Click Save changes.

(Instructor Only)</div>

Students may also search for course reserves directly in the Library Catalog.

Electronic materials (articles, e-books, audiovisual clips, etc.) can be uploaded or linked directly to TITANium. However, due to the expiration of Blackboard and budgetary limitations, the Library will no longer have direct oversight for this service.

The Faculty Development Center provides instruction on using TITANium’s features, and the Academic Technology Center can provide hands-on assistance.
